What we do

Frequently asked questions
Can you scan books with delicate bindings?
Yes! We use specialist scanners with angled plate rests to ensure book bindings aren't stressed. We never scan books flat unless you request it and we're sure it won't damage the binding.
What's the largest you can scan?
We can scan single sheet as large as A0, and books up to A2 total size. If you have larger items please get in touch as we may be able to assist regardless.
What quality do you scan at?
Depending on the size of your item, we can scan at up to 600DPI. Our usual scan resolution for books is 200DPI unless otherwise requested as this gives fantastic quality and the ability to OCR text, whilst maintaining a reasonable file size. For single sheet scans up to A0 we scan at 600DPI as default.
How do I get my documents to you?
For smaller documents, or those that are less important to you, commercial delivery services can be used. For specialised, irreplaceable, or extremely rare documents we can offer specialised courier services. You are of course welcome to drop them off to us if you would like to!

Can you index my documents for me? What about OCR?
Yes! We can index your documents for you, and OCR typed text for a fixed cost. We can also fully index & transcribe handwritten documents, however this is a manual process and is priced on a document by document basis.
What's your minimum or maximum job size?
We don't have a minimum or maximum job size! We'll digitise anything from a single sheet or book through to a whole library or archive.
Will you come to me to scan my archive?
We do have the capability to scan certain types of document on site if this is required, however this is a bespoke service so please get in touch for pricing information.
Location
We’re located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. We can be easily accessed from the M1 Motorway or by rail from the West Coast Main Line.
